How to write static code access particular DataBase

  Hi Experts,

             is there are option in SMP 2.3,how to write static code to access particular database to get the list of records in output.

             i will do my connections to database,but i want to manage to get data statically,we want to write coding in custom.js or whereever else,

            in SMP 2.3 can write static code directly,in code we have to manage list of records or not.

            if anybody have samples and materials,please let me know.
