Is it possible to link Plant and profit centre without using Z-table in MM ?

Hi Experts,

I have searched alot for implementing validation for comparing Plant and Profit centre while creating material master. And all the threads that I found suggested doing the same using a Z-table, But my question is that whether the same can be achieved without creating a Z-table ???

Is there a standard table for the same ??

Or is it possible using the Validation rule functionality like OB28 ?
