Removing Leading Zeroes in BODs

Hi,

I am MARA Table into BODS.

MATNR Data Type is Char 18.

Some of the values in that column are

1) 00000000000000001233

2) AA-123

I need to remove Leading zeroes. If I change the data type in BODS to Number, AA-123 can not be stored.

With out converting data type to Number, can we use other function to remove leading Zeroes.

Could you please help me.
