BC-XBP enables external job management software to schedule, start, and monitor jobs outside of the SAP NetWeaver system. Through this interface, the SAP NetWeaver Computer Center Management System (CCMS) supports software vendors that integrate their products with SAP's existing administration tools.

Technical Documentation
The technology platform of the interface has changed; the scope of certification has not been changed. Recertification is optional, but advised.

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s)
A new enhancement of BC-XBP called BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0) is available with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s).
BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0) is an enhancement of BC-XBP 6.10 (Version 2.0). This means that BC-XBP 6.10 (Version 2.0) is a subset of BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0).
Customers who use BC-XBP 6.10 (Version 2.0) can install BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0) without any change of functionality in their current applications. BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0) available with SAP Basis release 7.0 requires Support Package 14 (SP 14) and higher. For releases that are already on the market, BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0) will be delivered by Support Packages.
If you have an existing BC-XBP 6.10 (Version 2.0) certification (not expired), you can certify with BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0) as a stand alone. You only need to certify the things required for BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0).
If your existing BC-XBP 6.10 (Version 2.0) certification has expired, you can either re-certify for BC-XBP 6.10 (Version 2.0) as a stand alone only or re-certify together with BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0). In the later case, you would need to fulfill all the BC-XBP 6.10 (Version 2.0) as well as the BC-XBP 7.0 (Version 3.0) certification requirements.

There are no changes to BC-XBP in this release, since an enhancement is now available with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s).

SAP NetWeaver Application Server 6.10/6.20
There are no changes to BC-XBP in this release, since an enhancement is now available with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s).

Test System Recommendation from SAP ICC

SAP RAC Service:
The quickest way to gain access to an SAP system suitable for integration testing is via the SAP Remote Access and Connectivity Service (SAP RAC), which provides access to shared and exclusive-use hosted test systems.
